The Iron Horse in the heart of Historic Glendale remains the anchor of a community standing tall with tradition dating back to the late 1800's. Originally called Bracker's Tavern, the name changed in 1962 to The Iron Horse Inn, named for an 1856 railroad steam engine. The name is appropriate because the restaurant sits adjacent to an active railway line, and trains bustle by at all hours. Recently remodeled, The Iron Horse offers two experiences under one roof. The downstairs features warm copper tones with intriguing artwork adorning the walls. Diners experience a sense of relaxing tranquility while enjoying fine dining at affordable prices. The upstairs bar area again called Bracker's Tavern has stained glass windows, with an art deco theme for a more casual evening of food and fun. The menu varies with fresh Fish, Beef and Pork entrees with a small bar menu upstairs with pub-type fare.
