About Joe Dubinski
Music has always been an important part of my life. It has been the counter balance to my professional career in business, a place to escape to, and my personal getaway. That’s why Getaway was chosen as the title for my first CD.

Someone said that you work at your vocation so you can afford to pursue your avocation. Although I enjoyed my career in business, music has always been my passion. Now that I am retired from the business world, I have more time to devote to my music.

I have basically two musical preferences, classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s and the standards considered to be part of the Great American Songbook. Some of the classic rock influences include Carole King, Elton John and Gordon Lightfoot. Recently, I have developed an appreciation for the music of my parents’ generation. The emergence of artists like Michael Buble, Harry Connick and Diana Krall confirm that these songs are timeless.

The goal of any artist, whether it is a painter, writer or musician, is to evoke an emotional response. When I perform, my goal is to do just that. If I am able to stir an emotional response from the audience, I consider my performance to be a success.

I know you will enjoy my music and I look forward to performing for you at your events. It will be a memorable time for all.
